Praga - the district of Warsaw where you can see biggest contrasts...

Photobucket

If you have doubts, I would like to underline, that above picture is taken in the same district: Praga. Upper and below places are in distance of 400 meters.
This is also the poorest district. See the magic of that old part of the city.

Place in Poland where you may walk under river with the dry feets...

Fojutowo - Unique aqueduct in North Poland, located in Bory Tucholskie, one of the oldest forests in Europe.
A crossing between river and man made channel - hydrotechnology originating in past centuries. This place was build in 1848 in order to enable the crossing of creeks. Lower flows Czerska Struga - natural creek, upper flows Grand Channel of Brda River (man made).
How does it look from space, you can see below on the picture from satellite.

Tuchola. Suddenly among forests, or rather on the edge of it, there is a little charming city. Worth to visit and Old Town if you are in the neighbourhood. One hour walk will do your sightseeing. Small shopping and going further....

LOKANTA - Magic Touch of Orient in the Center of Warsaw

If you think that Turkish food is only about doner kebab and you would like to know how real Turkish food is like, take a time and and go Nowogrodzka 47A Street, just next to Roma Music Theatre
Photobucket
Great place for special evening. You get the scent of Istanbul or any other stylish corner of Turkey. Taking time in Lokanta (means Restaurant in Turkish) you feel like moving to Turkey.

Located in the city center, makes is an easy destination. Food is VERY tasty and authentic! You can see there Turks eating, so it's clear the food is proper :) Menu is reach, from old Ottoman meals to popular siskebap, which is really yummy :))

Amazing photos like paintings

Polish photographer Kasia Slaw Piwowar is the author. Amazing photos not photoshoped, not distorted in any ways. Just she sees things we do not see, or we see different :)

Priest, TV and commercial center

Złote Tarasy is the newest commercial center located just next to main railway station in Warsaw. It is very fashionable among media. Here on the pictures you can see TV program being shot on a blue box. The presence of the priest (on the right chair) made me think it could be catholic station Trwam, but this might be wrong assumption.

I am not so interested in this kind of events in such places, but this one is extraordinary, because of the prominent participants.
Lady on the left is very famous and appreciated in Poland journalist Janina Paradowska - a not reachable for many younger fellows journalists symbol of independence and professionalism. She is having a blog "Skrot myslowy" - if you speaking Polish, I recommend this blog for reading :) especially if you live abroad :) you will find there many razor sharp opinions and comments to current events.
The guy on the right is Marek Jurek - politician known for his conservative point of views, former Polish parliament speaker.

She rocks! That's the power of mind, right?
